Session: Rebuilding Public Trust in Healthcare

Speaker: Marty Makary

Time: 9:10am PT, September  24

Join NYT bestselling author, Johns Hopkins surgeon and professor, Dr. Makary as he offers highlights (lowlights) from his recent book The Price We Pay.

This session, Rebuilding the Public Trust in Healthcare" is designed to shed light on the egregious behaviors taking place in the US health care system that has been slowly eroding the public trust in the medical profession.

Marty reaffirms the notion the answers aren't coming from D.C. but rather from forward-looking primary care leaders and innovative delivery models that shift away from the current under-performing, fee-for-service model and, instead, focus on value and relationships to address the social, economic, and lifestyle determinants of health.
