When you remove a patient from a membership without ending the membership, it is now possible to edit the patient's end date, and also to add a cancellation reason. This feature is especially helpful if you need to remove a patient from a membership in the middle of a long billing cycle (such as semi-annual or annual contract) and you want to issue them a pro-rated refund.
How does it work?
When removing a patient from a membership plan, Hint automatically sets the patient's membership end-date to the last day of the billing cycle. For example, if the patient has paid through Dec. 19, that will be set as their membership end-date.
It’s possible that you will want to remove a patient before the last day of the billing cycle. When removing a patient’s membership, Hint now gives you the option to select any end date up until the end of the billing cycle.
Additionally, you can now set a cancellation reason when removing each patient from the membership. Previously it was only possible to set a cancellation reason when ending the whole membership.
